The  B.C. New  Democrats are ramping up for a possible  Federal election.

There will be a nomination meeting in Prince George on June 16th at which time the candidate for the  riding of Prince George-Peace River will be chosen.

“We have to give all members in good standing at least 30 days notice of that meeting” says riding President Stewart Breault.  He says two names have been put forth as candidate hopefuls.  One is a person from Dawson Creek the other is from Prince George.

While Breault was not willing to identify the two candidates until all the proper paperwork has been completed,  Opinion250 has confirmed  the Prince George hopeful is Betty Bekkering, the President of  the People’s Action Committee for Healthy Air.

Hoo Hoo! It is an NDP plot! An NDP'er is the one that is now telling us what to breathe. I knew there was something sinister behind the push to get rid of inDUSTrty in PG. It is the NDP again. Heehee!
I bet Dick Harris and Jay Hill are happy.
Taliban Jack gonna visit us? Could happen.
Betty who?...representing who?
Nice to see the NDP is true to form!
If Jack Layton comes to town I hope someone will ask him his views about bringing Taliban prisoners here to Canada. I will also ask his view about the Taliban getting a 12 year old kid to behead a man. Youtube has got it. Gotta love them Lieberals and Dippers in Ottawa.
"An NDP'er is the one that is now telling us what to breathe"

I would rather that than than a bunch of neocons pushing stuff into the air, often without our knowledge .... and we actually get to breathe it.

If you do not realize it yet YDPC ... you can tell people what to breathe till you are blue in the face ... every few seconds you have to breathe and you have to breathe whatever is closest at hand.
Wait a bit and a large beetle wood burning power plant built downtown will aggravate our breathing even more...apparently there isn't anything we can do to get the mayor and council to not allow it.

Federal elections are a different can of worms, but provicially,I predict the NDP will get it's royal butt kicked in the next election.Too bad because Campbell needs to be slapped back into line.Bigtime!
Carole James has been a complete washout as a leader. What a waste of a vote!
Is she even still around? If she is,you'd never know it from the amount she is seen and heard!
Now, federally I don't see much difference.I predict the NDP will also take a hit.
Jack Layton is a joke and will be eaten by his party after the next federal election.
Carole James will be the appetizer!
I wonder how many of the above posts are a result of the provincial Liberal school of dirty tricks. Much is coming to lught lately. Makes one wonder.
Quite right camoose!Campbell's Liberals are just as dirty as the rest of them and more dirty than some.
Maybe they are just getting careless?
So far I haven't seen much that would keep me from voting ndp in the next federal election as a protest vote against those that abandoned old reform.

Provincially I wouldn't even consider voting ndp for a Carol James lead Party unless I lived in the cariboo riding. Carol James turned her back on the 59.85% BCSTV vote for democratic reform and IMO it was the ndp nail in the coffin until the next election before she ever set foot in the legislature.
I agree Chadermando! She is a waste of time but I think basically the NDP party itself knows that now.
Look to see her get eaten by the party just as soon as they can.I don't see them going into another election with her driving the bus!
That would be political suicide.
I have no issue with wemon in politics, but why is it they always seem to fizzle in a leadership position?
