Garbage Clean Up Tons O'Fun

The Prinice George Spring Clean Up event held last Sunday was a success!

The official numbers are in:

4700 people officially registered in the event.
6,600 kilograms of litter and garbage was dropped off

The number of participants does not include those who just went out and cleaned up their street, without officially "signing up".

Why do people sign up? Didn't know you should sign up. Was this for insurance or ..?

I to did not know there was a sign up place...I thought people were just asked if they would go collect a bag or two of garbage from local ditches etc.
Not a single person i know "SIGNED UP" they just went out and did it.

Those are probably all elementry students, so they probably had to keep track of them so they don't run off home? Great field trip though, lots of fun, sticky hands....
