Prince George Spruce Kings not only will be the host team but also the only BC team in the RBC Royal Bank Cup, Canadian Junior A hockey championship at CN Centre.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League champion Camrose Kodiaks edged the visiting Nanaimo Clippers 3-2 to capture the Doyle Cup 4 games to 1. The Kodiaks will head to Prince George for the May 5- May 13 RBC Royal Bank Cup with a 24-6 postseason record. Camrose earned their fourth Doyle Cup title in the last six years. The Kodiacs,  have two silver medals and one  National championship in their 10 seasons of operation in rural Alberta.
