The rcmp have abolsihed mandatory retirement too...no longer is 60.

Mandatory retirement was a ploy by the Federal Government and others to get rid of the older workers and have jobs available for the younger workers. They could care less whether you wanted to retire or not. Thats why they called it mandatory.

Now the worm has turned, and they need to keep as many of the older (experienced) workers as they can, so they decide that mandatory retirement is discriminatory, and should be abolished. Problem is, is that it was always discriminatory. Now that they need these workers they are changing their tune. This is **Vintage** Government/Business manipulation of the Citizens of this Country.

The same thing applies to *WorkBC* a few years ago when there was a surplus of workers and a shortage of jobs, employers would tell their employees that if they didnt like the way things were they could get off the property. NOW that there is a shortage of workers and a surplus of jobs, they want you to continue to work, and to phone your relatives and have them come to BC to work also.

What goes around comes around. I will not shed a tear for any employer who mistreated his employees in the past, and now cannot get any. You reap what you sow.
