Only One case of TB ,So far, in Vanderhoof

Medical Health Officer, Dr. Lorna Medd says the all clear has been given to seven people who tested positive for TB in Vanderhoof. They were among the first group of 34 people tested.
Dr. Medd says she is expecting later tomorrow to hear the results of about one half of the next two groups that were tested. The balance of the test results are expected by the end of the week.
So far the only positive test has been with a worker at a local restaurant who was diagnosed with TB. The people who tested positive but did not show any other signs were offered antibiotics if they choose.
Upwards of 100 people were tested by the health authorities since the first case was discovered.
