Houston Health Centre In Line for Expansion

Northern Health  has put out a tender for the construction of a $1.8 million dollar addition to the Houston Health Centre.

The 7,650 square foot addition to the west side of the Health Centre will house 6 new  residential care beds  for seniors in Houston who need  care 24 hours a day.

The addition will house the new residential care beds, a salon, solarium and visitors quiet room, meeting rooms, as well as personal laundry and storage facilities.   

Northern Health has received funding from the Province through its capital funding allocation.

Proponents will have until late May to submit bids. Northern Health will review the bids, and plans to award a contract in June. Construction is scheduled to start in July 2007.
