Fraser Continues to Rise

Fraser River getting very close to the top of its banks.
The Fraser River continues to rise, and the weather is not cooperating.
The forecast is for severe thunderstorms and that means lots of water for an already swollen river.
The Fraser has climbed rapidly over the weekend. The photo on the left shows two park benches at Paddle Wheel Park as they were on Saturday. The photo on the right shows the same benches are a little too wet to be used for sitting!
The Fraser is expected to flood the low lying areas this morning, and could very well hit the 10 metre mark and flood other areas as early as tomorrow.
