They say  a picture is worth a thousand words... in this case it is worth about $5.40 a gallon.

Frustrated with the recent increases in the price at the pumps, someone in Priince George has put out a call for a boycott.

This sign is one of four attached to a fence line along Highway 97.

Good idea, Petro Can is usually the first to raise prices and last to lower. Lower?
I don't understand....

Isn't it Mowhawk that is owned by the local refinery and thus the most likely to start a gas war if their station is boycotted?

Wasn't Petrocan the target last time around a few months back. I'm begining to wonder if someone either a) hates someone associated with Petrocan, b) has a short memory, or c) is completly unoriginal.
yaaaawn!!!!!!
It's funny how everybody thinks that boycotting a certain station is such a great idea, you read about in local editorials and then get e-mails on the subject. But in all reality people just like to vent and are never serious enough to take a stand long enough to have any real effect. I for one do not like the prices but the only thing I can do is really to limit the amount of driving I do or to buy a more fuel efficient vehicle.
Give your head a shake. In Marketing terms, gasoline is considered price inelastic, ie demand does not change when price changes. The only way to get yourself out of this bloody mess is to change your own consumer habits, not someone elses.
It sounds good but doesn't work in Canada. The oil companies do not own the gas stations they are owned by individual people. FRANCHISES>>> so you are only hurting the little guys. Tearing up their credit cards hurts more.
