Meisner receives Lifetime Achievement Award  from RTNDA (opinion250 staff photo)

Opinion250's Ben Meisner has been  awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the RTNDA of Canada, the Association of Electronic Journalists.

Presented  at a ceremony in Vancouver last night, the award reads:

"The RTNDA Lifetime Achievement Award  is presented to individuals who have distinguished themselves through outstanding service and continued excellence during the course of their career in broadcast journalism.

The Award is for lifetime achievement rather than a single contribution, no matter how monumental, and is one of the highest honours bestowed by RTNDA."

In accepting the award, Meisner  said he was"Deeply humbled" and thanked all who had ever  dropped off a brown envelope, or made the anonymous phone call to share some information  "They are the people who took the real real risks in their effort to share the information that needed to be  examined  and made public.".

For those of us who don't know, what is RTNDA???
Congratulations Ben !

Maintiens Le Droit.
My apologies, RTNDA used to be "Radio and Television News Directors Association" but now, it encompasses new media ( i.e. internet) so, it now calls itself, "RTNDA, the Association of Electronic Journalists"
