The mountain Pine beetle gets its first official look next Monday when Conservative Leader Stephen Harper comes to town. 

Harper will tour the area by helicopter to get a first hand look at the devastation being caused by the beetles. 

Caribou, Prince Goerge MP D ick Harris says the visit is part of Harper's western Canada tour.

In recent days new political adds featuring Harper and many of his MP’s from various parts of Canada have been appearing on TV as part of a ramp up to improve the image of the Conservative leader heading into the next federal election
