Spectacular Lightning Show Puts Some In Dark

The thunder rolled, the lightning struck...and just over 2500 Prince George residents were left in the dark for an hour as a result of this evening's spectacular storm.

BC Hydro says residents living in the Peden Hill neighbourhood and portions of College Heights were plunged into the dark at 9:15pm this evening.  Service was restored a little over an hour later.

Earlier this afternoon, it was wind that knocked out the utility to a handful of residents living in parts of the Hart.
