I wonder what ever happened to mine detectors. We have all this great technology for warfare but are unable to protect the lives of our young men and women from being killed in such a senseless manner and I might add because of political stupidity.

Cheers
Mine Detectors work with Metal Mines, No metal in mine, mine Detectors useless, most modern mines are made from Plastic, wood, Fiberglass...... IRAN is very good at make mines, and showing these Terrorists how to use them.
God bless young soldier and thank you for serving your country.
In my opinion none of these soldiers should have been killed...and would not have been had we remained as peace keepers instead
Further I strongly feel that our wonderful prime minister has to be a hero in "Bush's" eyes and send our troops off to be MURDERED>>>> as sure as if he had pulled the trigger or set off the bombs himself...
Gofaster how do you "peacekeep" when there is no peace? You've been listening to too much Liberal and NDP propaganda.
Gofaster, here's a little light reading for you. Be sure to check the date of the article. It seems to punch a hole in your entire argument. http://www.canada.com/ottawa/ottawacitizen/news/story.html?id=064f79ac-ed1a-49f3-a047-cea78e7ff20d
