Northern Health has hired Finlay Sinclair away from the Regional District of Fraser Fort George.

Sinclair was the Regional District of Fraser Fort George's key player in the  Treaty process with the Lheidli T'enneh, and  was the information officer during the recent flood threats.  He was also  involved in the  development of the District's Cultural Plan .

Sinclair will leave at the end of next week to take on a new job with  Northern Health,  where he will be in charge of Business Development for  Northern Health.

At his last Regional District meeting, Directors thanked him for his many years of service with the Regional District,  and Chairman Art Kaehn referred to him as the  Districts'  official "Jack of All Trades."

Details on recruiting a replacement have not yet been released.

Well it must be a relief to get out of the friendship circle of the Treaty process. That process just goes round and round and nothing gets done.

.."District's Cultural Plan.." now what the heck is that!! It is absolutely sick how much money is wasted that the public is not aware of until we get a peek under the rug once in a while. Time to start firing people!
The words 'cultural plan' what does that phrase refer to? Is it more of the pandering to special interest minority groups? One country-one people-one law. Our society is too fragmented in my opinion. In our rush to ensure that every single minority group is looked after, we have lost cohesiveness as a nation.
Strictly an opinion, of course.
metalman.
"Our society is too fragmented in my opinion."

I agree fully. They should be cloning metalmen and be done with it. It would be a perfect world.
for those who can and care to read .....

DOn't get too concerned about the metnion on page 9 that the RDFFG spent over $1.4 million on culture in 2005 while the City only spent $159 thousand.

The author made a mistake and included aquaculture and silviculture in that figure for the RDFFG.
He is going to be in charge of "Business Development" for Northern Health. What is that, and why does a public health care provider need business development? It is another example of how our health care system has turned into a system of corporate businesses instead of being service providers to patients.
Business Development ..... nice catch!!!

Maybe it is a typo .... maybe what they meant was Service Development ....

Now wouldn't that be neat!! ... Someone actually developing the service to be client oriented ... could be a first.

I can see the flood threat thing ... didn't the hospital have one of those internal floods ....

And the cultural connection might be microbiology cultures .. or maybe entertainment for the patients ....

The hospital also gets their fair share of First Nations patients .... so his sensitivity training might come in handy .....

Seems to be musical chairs going on in town recently ......
Owl. We already have cloning. Especially in the Civil Service, and with Politicians. They all look, act, and talk the same.
