Within hours of  the announcement that  the Integrated Municipal Provincial Auto Crime Team was  in Prince George to target auto thieves,  an arrest has been made.

IMPACT members along with  members of the Prince George Detachment Task Force Members ( plan clothes unit) arrested a male who was in possession of a 2006  Dodge pick up truck in the VLA area.

A 39 year old transient male  is now facing charges.

Earlier today, Solicitor General John Les announced the IMPACT  team was operating n Prince George   and had brought with it all the tools necessary to target auto  thieves.   The  team  has been  brought to  Prince George because while auto theft  is  falling in other parts  of the province, in the first four months of this year  it  has climbed 17%  in Prince George.  During that same four month period, theft from vehicles  in Prince George has jumped 88%.

Bait cars are useful both because the average car thief targets particular vehicles, and there are few car thiefs. Don't credit cops for anything. Vancouver cops resisted Bait cars for years. Why? They prefer that money be wasted on more lazy do-nut dunkers.
Truth,I somehow get the feeling that you are probably not even gainfully employed and have been sucking money from the government teat for some time. Handouts, govt grants for nothing, student loans etc..sound familiar? Probably hitting close to home I bet.
TUTB:
You worship cop power because you can't be one, and you live vicariously through them. I would bet $50,000 that you are a Trekkie, and I do have the money. You add nothing worthy of a second thought to this forum. You are wallpaper in human form.
I think it is counter productive to announce that the IMPACT team is in PG...sort of forwarning the mice that the cat is on the prowl.
As soon as the cat leaves the area, the rats will come out again.

Leave it up to politicians to screw everything up just to make themselves look good.
Be silent Let the impact do their work at catching car thieves in pg and then let the public know after some of the major players have been taken off the streets.

Hey TUTB: forget about truth, he obviously has had some run ins with the "donut dunkers" and lost.
I bet Truthie would probably be too scared to even approach a donut dunker let alone try and argue with them.
I think this is good news, PG is becoming too much of a haven for transients.

He should be sentenced to push cars up Peden Hill in February.
hey troll, your intelligence clearly separates you from the no brainers. Don't let em get to ya..even if sometimes it is hard to ignore the stupidity....

As for the IMPACT Team? Let them do their job, I agree with you Imorg, silence. Or, is it like the radio announcement regarding radar locations so that the ticketed public cannot claim "entrapment"??

Anyways, IMO - most thieves are stupid to begin with and often are arrogant in their belief that they are smarter than the cops??!!
You guys sound like a bunch of high school kids. Get back on topic.
