North District RCMP Emergency Response Team is now going cabin to cabin in the Fraser Lake area as they continue to search for 21 year old Richard Zagwyn.

The Federal parolee is on the run after evading police who tried to pick him up yesterday on a Canada wide warrant.

Zagwyn is carrying a long gun, and fired off a couple of shots shortly after rolling his vehicle in a ditch near Fraser Lake .

Sergeant Calhoun of North District RCMP says the search started yesterday but was suspended at nighfall.

A perimeter has been set up.

Zagwyn is described at 5’8”, Native, brown hair, brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt under a jacket.

He is considered armed and dangerous and is not to be approached.

Zagwyn had been serving a 2 year sentence for  assault, use of force and robbery.  The sentence  runs until April of 2008.  Zagwyn was in the community under supervision when  the sentence was  suspended and a Canada Wide Warrant was  issued for his  arrest.

WHERE IS HIS PICTURE????????????????
All this trouble to catch a guy and make sure he has a warm bed and three hot meals every day until he is released by a judge to be trusted to show up for a future court date only to find he will be put on probation. Lot of work, if you ask me.
