Canfor Names New V.P. Manufacturing

Canfor has announced the company’s new Vice President, Manufacturing is…….

Mark Feldinger.

He is the Regional Manager who scored major points with the Board of Directors last month when he outlined the plan to make the Mackenzie Mill more efficient. (see previous story) He was also given very high marks by the people in Mackenzie as well as others who worked with him to help save that mill from an indefinite closure.

Feldinger’s new position will not mean a move, his office will be in Prince George .

of course, hire from within to promote company loyalty and prevent dissention amoungst the troops.

As for the town of Mackenzie, the town was created in 1969 by the lumber giants with the full knowledge that it would only be a 25 yr town. It has lasted almost 40 yrs so as a lumber producing/ processing town, it is nearing its end......it will happen.

I know Mark Feldinger personally and I can honestly say he knows his stuff!
Canfor picked the right guy for the job this time,which is more than I can say for some of their past promotions!
