What is your business's "China Strategy"?

The Province of B.C.,  Initiatives Prince George, the P.G. Chamber of Commerce and the College of New Caledonia  are working together  to give local companies  a change to  think about  how they might  boost their business with Asia.

The partners are putting on a  two hour  "Access to Asia" workshop on September 5th.

Taking part in this workship will also help  guide Prince George as it develops a Beijing strategy for building economic ties between Northern B.C. and Asia.

The Provincial Government has already announced it is building a BC Pavilion in downtown Beijing, about  1/2 block from Tianamen Square.  The Province is now looking for  firms that  are interested in exploring  business opportunities  and meeting  potential business partners  in Beijing from China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

The two hour workshop will  not only provide business with some ideas specific to China,  it will also  pass along information on how companies can benefit from the use of the BC Pavilion .  Several key  sectors  that will be the focus of the seminar are:

  • Forest products
  • Agriculture
  • Alternative energy (including wood pellets)
  • Medical
  • Education
  • Information Technology
  • Transportation
  • Aerospace and
  • Mining

The two hour seminar starts at 8 a.m. on September 5th.  Following the session there will be an opportunity  for one on one meetings with the  experts.
