The National Parole Board will deliberate today to see if former Provincial Court Judge David Ramsay should  be granted Parole

His file will be reviewed by one member of the Parole Board, and then again by a second member of the Board.

The final decision may not be announced for at least a day, possibly as late as the end of the week.

“Each member of the Parole Board has to completely review the file, then the decision has to be typed, and any confidential information (like the inmate’s number) will be removed from the file “  says National Parole Board  spokesperson Janice Babineau.

Ramsay has been serving a 7 year sentence for sex charges related to young prostitutes in Prince George and one count of breach of trust as some of the prostitutes he was hiring were young women who appeared before him  in court.

Although eligible for parole a year ago, he waived his right to that review.  He had planned on making his case before the Parole Board this year, but when news of his plans spread,   he waived his right to that public hearing, and the Parole Board will now review his file without any further input from him.

The Parole Board has a lousy record for making some serious errors in releasing inmates too far early.
It fact, that record actually seems to be getting worse.
Hopefully, they will keep this slimeball where he belongs, but I won't hold my breath!
In light of Ramsey's postition and place of power in the courts, he should be locked away for a long time for the abuse of his position in general.
His sentence was a farce and it also indicates just how much of a joke our justice system has become!
Their track record says that they are more than capable of letting him out, even on a limited basis, and that would not suprise me at all!
Yes... they look after there own don't they!
Seven years is seven years. Pay your dues. Your victims will be paying for a lot longer than that. What a discusting abuse of position. Chester
He's been denied parole!
Seven years of jail time is not propotionate to what he did. He ought to go through the same debasement he subjected those girls to.
Right on!!!
Good to hear.Let him rot!
It's very "unChristian" of me, I know. But, I don't look upon sentences as rehabilitation measures. I look upon them as punishment that befits the crime committed. The moment you maliciously treat another human inhumanely, you forfeit the right to be treated as a human.

So, I hope he gets gang-raped several times while in jail and that he gets several STDs as well.
