Friends Tina Baraga, Sandra Johnson, and Cynthia Egli prep for the start line at the Terry Fox run in Prince George.  They  are taking part in the run for their co-worder Brenda Code, who  lost her battle with cancer earlier  his year.

The three were among the more  than 360  people  who were on the start line for the 2007 version of the Terry Fox Run in Prince George this morning.  They brought with them  about $600 dollars in ledges that would be added to the nearly $10,000 in total pledges collected by the others on the start line.

Organizers say those numbers  ( of pledges and participants)  will likely have doubled by the time the run is complete at 2:00 this afternoon.

Last year,  the run  collected about $20 thousand dollars  to help find a cure for cancer.
