Premier Gordon Campbell is in Prince George today and there is more on his agenda than the opening of the Northern Sport Centre.

Not only will he officially open the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre at 10:00 this morning, a few hours later he will be at Prince George Regional Hospital.    There is speculation he will formally announce the Northern Cancer Clinic as the Premier will be joined by Charles Jago and Jeff Burghardt,  the  current and former  Chairs of Northern Health.  The two are also the authors of the report which called for the establishment of a northern cancer clinic that would include radiation therapy.

Then, at 3:00 he will be at the Prince George Airport where he will announce “major funding to improve the aircraft handling capacity.”   As Opinion 250 reported on Wednesday morning, (see Expect Airport Cash Friday)   that appearance is expected to be the delivery of the $12 million dollars for the Province’s share of the cost of the runway extension.

Yup, good week for PG.
Except for having to air the smell of politician away after he leaves.
I wish the Premier would come once a month to open something as magnificent as the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre and commit funding for more projects like the airport runway extension and a cancer clinic!

The paving crews are busy between here and Quesnel, as promised.

Indeed, how times have changed for the better!

Cheers!

Parrothead, shame on you!!! That was uncalled for. Grow up!!!!!!!!!
