Coroner Toynia Grace will preside over a Coroners Inquest on October 10th, into the death of seven month old Serena Wiebe who died while under the provincial welfare system in Ft St James.
It is alleged that the young girl died after her mother rolled onto her during her sleep in Ft. St. James.
The death of Serena is one of four children’s deaths that BC’s new Children’s Watch Dog had ordered investigated. Mary Ellen Turpel Lafond called for the inquires shortly after she became the Children’s Representative in the Province.
