No Real Flood of Applications for Financial Flood Assistance

September eleventh was the deadline for those who suffered most from the flooding in the spring of 2007 to file an application with the Province for financial assistance.

So far, there have been 245 applications filed for Disaster Financial Assistance. Among the applications filed, are four from private citizens in Prince George, 53 from private citizens in Vanderhoof, and one is from the District of Vanderhoof.
It will be some time before all of the dollar amounts are known for spending on programs to prepare or respond, or recover from the high waters of 2007. Those amounts may not be known for at least two months.
