Very Good Job Heather Oland: One Man's Opinion

It was easy to see why the Prince George City Council adopted the plan put forward for a new 674 hectare, 11,000 resident development to be called University Heights.

The person pitching the matter to Council, L&M’ Engineering’s Heather Oland did what can be described as an awesome job of putting the package togther.

Regardless of how you might feel about the project, and whether it will reach conclusion, Oland had not only done her homework, she had done it well.

She didn’t leave one stone unturned in her efforts to ensure that she would make only one pitch to the City for acceptance, they couldn’t say no.

From First Nations , joggers , city staff and the 14 people who owned the property she was able to put them all on the same page and it showed.

If anyone in this province wants to see how to effectively put together a subdivision, especially the size of this one, they might want to have a look at the TV footage of the presentation to City Council before embarking on their plan.

I don’t make a habit of fluffing anyone’s feathers, but I thought the other night that Heather Oland lay to waste any idea that in order to make a successful application for a major project, it should be done by a man.

If the principals of L& M where not proud of the manner in which she has piloted this project through the hoops, they should be.

I’m Meisner and that’s one man’s opinion.
