Arrests Made in Stabbing Case

Two people have been arrested in connection with last Friday’s vicious assault and stabbing of a man on Harper Street. (see previous story)
The victim has had been pushing a child in a stroller when he was approached by two assailants. He left the child in the driveway of a Harper Street home and asked the resident to call police.
The victim was then beaten and eventually stabbed. He was taken to Prince George Regional Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
Police continued with their investigation and on Sunday, five officers converged on a residence south of Giscome, where they arrested two suspects.
One suspect, an 18 year old male, was found to have an outstanding warrant from Grande Prairie Alberta for assault with a weapon. He has been remanded in custody and will be transported back to Alberta to appear in Provincial court there to answer to that charge.
The second suspect a 22 year old male, is facing several charges, including:
Aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon ( one with a stick the other with knife) and Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public ( knife). He will appear in Provincial Court in Prince George Tuesday to face those charges.
While the two suspects show address of Grande Prairie, they are said to travel back and forth between Prince George and Grande Prairie.
