The RCMP think the man accused of killing 30 year old RCMP  Constable Chris Worden  in  Hay River this week,  could be heading to Prince Rupert and that means he  just might  pass through Prince George
An RCMP advisory says Emrah Bulatci  (also known as  Justin Elise) may be travelling with a female in a green or  navy blue  2002 Ford Escape, and the pair could be on their way to Prince Rupert. Const. Craig Douglass from the Prince George North District RCMP says police in Alberta feel he is still in that province but we can't take any chances, we investigate every reported sighting . We have stepped up patrols in this region , We also are checking out another report of a sighting on the Sunshine Coast.
A Canada wide warrant has been issued for Bulatci on a charge of first degree murder.
Bulatci  (shown in the photo at right)  is  described as :
  • 23 years old,
  • medium stocky build
  • blue eyes
  • medium complexion
  • slight facial scarring
  • approx 5 feet 3 inches (160.02 cm) tall
  • 190 lbs (86.18 kg)
  • eyebrows and hair dyed jet black - short buzz/spiked style
  • Clothing: grey sweat pants
  • black nylon windbreaker
  • white baseball cap with blue stripes
  • white NIKE runners with gold stripes

Police say he  should be considered, armed, dangerous,  unpredictable and should NOT be approached.

Earlier this week, police recovered Bulatci’s grey SUV in St. Albert, and while some investigators think he may still be in Alberta, there is a possibility he is moving west towards the coast.

A regimental funeral will be held for Constable Worden Monday in Ottawa.

Turned himself into RCMP in Edmonton yesterday afternoon.
"Worden was killed early Saturday after he went out alone to answer a distress call at an apartment building in Hay River.

Other officers were dispatched after Worden lost radio contact. They found the constable in a wooded area next to a subsidized apartment complex on Woodland Drive. Soon after, Worden was pronounced dead in hospital of gunshot wounds."

The word "alone" gets to me. No officer should ever be "alone". It's time for change RCMP. I think that "Dear Mr. President" song by Pink fits here at home with our RCMP situation. Truly sickening. My thoughts are with the family.
Big mistake by the RCMP.
One cop should never have gone out alone to deal with a call to a known drug/crime area.
The call was in regards to a known crackhouse!
Inexperience perhaps or understaffing?
Very tragic just the same, and my condolences to family.
Seems cop killing has been an acceptable practice among criminals over the last few years.
Where are all these new policies/penalties to deal with criminals that Harper says are coming?
With this guys criminal record he should have been already locked up and this cop would not be dead.
The justice system has dropped the ball again!
