You have some more time to submit your thoughts on how the Provincial budget should be designed.

The Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services is extending its deadline for receiving written, online and  flyer responses. The new deadline for submissions is now Friday, Oct.  26, 2007.

"The Budget 2008 Consultation Paper is taking longer to get out to certain regions of the province," said committee chair Bill Bennett, MLA. "We believe that every British Columbian should have an equal  opportunity to provide their ideas on British Columbia’s budget priorities and are therefore extending the deadline."

Some Prince George  homes only received the  consultation paper in the mail this week.

You can view the consultation paper - and provide an online or written response - by visiting the committee’s website: http://www.leg.bc.ca/budgetconsultations.

Are we suppose to actually believe that the provincial government really gives a damn about anything above Cache Creek?
Or what we think up here?
Come on now...that's hilarious!
Actually, Any other government than this one, I would have to agree that anything past Hope, was beyond hope.

But the Gordon Camp actually knows where the money is being made. He knows that its us dumb asses up here freezing in the interior that makes the resource tax dollars.

Sure, we get the raw end of the deal, because of the lack of population past Hope. Seriously, some of the people down in the big centers has no idea of what it really takes to get ahead in life the right way. Up here, you get ahead by working hard. Down there, they get ahead by taking it from someone else. I rather have those kinds of people down there.
True to a certian extent, but the last thing we should be doing is accepting second rate treatment from our tax dollars, because of where we live!
The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
