Tires Slashed, Suspect in Custody

Prince George B.C. - A young man is in custody following a rash of vandalism .
Prince George RCMP were called to a home in the Gillette – Garden Street area yesterday morning where a woman had discovered three of the tires on her vehicle had been slashed. The woman also reported seeing an intoxicated young man carrying a knife wandering in the neighbourhood. Police found the suspect and took him back to cells.
Later in the morning, people in the 1700 blocks of Gillette Street, Johnson Street, Harper Drive, Central Street and in the area of 18th Avenue, Ewert Crescent and Burden Street discovered their vehicles had been vandalized.
In total 9 vehicles had tires slashed, and one had initials carved into the paint.
The suspect already in custody is facing 8 Mischief charges and will appear in Court later today for a bail hearing.
