Ever been to Hastings street in vancouver? Downtown PG is just like it.
Great big head line and five short lines pertaining to it?
The druggies and bums run the downtown, so what do you expect? Downtown was given to them as their home. Don't go there if you don't like it.
I'm going to run for council and I'm going to propose we move city hall out of the downtown. Turn the place into a center for bums and move on.
good idea Yama...you got MY vote!
mine too...
but we need a fence around the area as well.(well maybe)
There are some interesting business's in the downtown area, and they do ok, but could probably do a lot better "IF"...not really sure what the if should be..
I avoid the area for the most part. I try to do my excursions there once a month and all at the same time.....during the day.
Time will tell I suppose...luck to them...
"Councillor Deborah Munoz will present her plan to have air quality concerns and questions part of the development process."

If this has to do with a development of downtown (into what?) I would suggest that the councillor(s) express the strongest possible objection to the mayor's determined efforts to place a wood burning power plant in the downtown area!

Wrong place, too much pollution already, don't even think about it.

I suspect that it will happen, regardless of what anybody says...just going by past experience.

Any bets that Kinsley is off to Beijing.
It seems that he is the main traveller.
Beijing has their air problems. Sister city maybe? So much in common. A matter of weeks before the councillors drag out that dead horse called "downtown revitalization"" and start flogging it in order to score points this coming election. How about city hall moving across the highway behind Art Knapp's on Highway 16? Turn the present city hall into a homeless shelter and drop in centre. Just a rumour, mind you.
Used and discarded needles around the Farmers Market? Sue the needle exchange fer false advertising. Where does the "exchange" part enter into it?
Harbinger, I think the exchange is from their arm to someones hand, leg or foot.......
Weclome to the world of AIDS and hep....
