Prince George Man Receives Arbor Vitae Award

A Prince George man is among 6 British Columbians selected to receive the 2007 Arbor Vitae Awards in recognition of their dedication to environmental protection and stewardship.
Les Husband has been recognized for making a difference in one or more aspects of environmental protection and stewardship, either through hands-on work,
or by promoting and encouraging the benefits of sound environmental practices - from sustainability and the fight against climate change, to habitat restoration, protection of species and ecosystems, and resource conservation.
Husband is considered one of B.C.’s most respected environmentalist sportsmen, and has been involved with several environmental organizations for a number of years, serving on the board of the B.C. Wildlife Federation and the Habitat Conservation Trust Fund. Husband is a known champion for ethical processes in conservation, hunting and fishing.
