A 26 year old man has been arrested and faces several charges following a search by police.

Prince George RCMP say early this morning, the vehicle was spotted speeding in the area of 15th and Central .   The driver pulled into the Mr. G. store just off 15th and a check revealed the owner of the vehicle had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. According to police the driver was acting irrationally and was found to be under the influence of drugs.  Police conducted a search and found several packages of cocaine and a large sum of cash.  The driver was also found to be prohibited from driving.

Police say the man will be charged for driving while prohibited and  his vehicle has been impounded for 90 days.  Police have begun a  proceeds of crime file with respect to the cash.  The investigation continues.

Nothing like setting yourself up to get caught.
That takes some real logic...
I have warrants so I will speed!
and maybe they will catch me.....
duhhh
Drug addicts get busted. High level drug dealers get rich and are protected. We really do not have a clue what we are doing do we?
What....no taser...guess they were nice guys
Vehicle impounded fer ninety days? Maybe the loser can ask fer a jump start for his car with their tazer when he gets it back. Cops decision. Him or the car. Maybe if the guy is really stupid, the cops can ask him to hold onto the battery terminals while being tasered.
Even the police can enjoy a gift once in a while... the guy involved in this really set himself up good. Maybe they can get some leads and do some real work to crack down on those that supply and traffic hard drugs.
So the RCMP did their job on this one. Let's give our judges and lawyers the encouragement to do the right thing and deal with this problem. We all have to work together to get the bad guys out of circulation. Chester
