The Cameron Street Bridge has been  closed to traffic  since  the fall of 2005.    Full funding for the replacement  has yet to be secured, but the Federal and Provincial Goverments have contributed a total of $2 million  towards the  $9 million  plus price tag.

A roundabout in the icy north???
They actually work quite well. There all over Europe and keep traffic moving. My only concern is large trucks with trailers and the chance of them crossing into the path of another vehicle. Hope its big enough to accomodate or are tractor trailers going to be even allowed on this roundabout
Haven't they spent 2 million in studys yet.
A round about? The drunk divers cant even drive straight roads so this should be really interesting. There is actually a round about in dawson creek and it seems to do the job from what i can tell but then again ive never drove a fully loaded transport or logging truck.
Roundabout kinda like the ice oval? I watched Clark Griswold drive in a roundabout in the movie "European Vacation" Looking forward to it being built. Hope it will have good drainage. (ice rink)
I can see it's fine for a place like the casino but a bridge and highway?? Don't you just love Clark Harbinger? lol..poor man! The roads are scary enough in the winter with what little S turns and what not we already have. The large trucks have a hard enough time turning onto fifth avenue without knocking down a pole or two.
Roundabouts are great, have driven them in Europe and Australia, but not with big truck traffic. Our trucks are generally bigger so don't really know how well it will work in that situation. Might be quite entertaining!
Entertaining? How light can you be? How about added pollution and noise in an already over-congested industrial area which adjoins residential areas?
