Opinion250 a Regional Internet Paper?

You may have wondered just where the comments at Opinion250 come from.

Given the large numbers of postings this past week , we decided to do a look see to give you some idea of where the traffic comes from.

To our surprise ,we found that Opinion250 is  not just accessed by the people of  Prince George , British Columbia , Alberta ,or for that matter the balance of Canada . In the stories of the tasering death of Polish immigrant Robert Dziekanski, we have registered commentators from British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba and several American States.

Internet News has been hard for all of us at Opinion250 to get our heads around, and I’m sure that it is as well for many of you.

You would think that a posting comes from perhaps down the street in the city or certainly no further than within the province. That simply is not the case and this past week has shown us just how wide spread our audience is.

So when you think you might be arguing with a person on a specific point they could not only be outside of this province, they may be outside of this country.

We have become accustomed to thinking that we reach only the immediate area, the internet has changed all that, shrinking the world to the size of Prince George and district.

We just thought you’d like to know.

I’m Meisner

Hi Ben
Just wanted say Thanks. We live in PEI after 40 years of living in PG. We look to your site to keep us up to date of things going on at home. Thanks again.
JOB WELL DONE!!!!
Just because they (product safety advocate crowd) come from far and wide it doesn't make their arguments any more smart IMO.
:) Very nice to see especially to know how many people this tasering death has reached. Change is all about pressure.
A damn good site and very much needed! Local/national newspapers are much too biased to be of any use to anybody anymore.
Because everyone gets a say on Opinion 250 regardless of where you live or who you are,it is able to cross some borders that the others can't,or won't.
Keep up the good work Ben and Elaine and whoever else is hiding in here.
A great job by all concerned!
:-)
Opinion 250 is a valuable and important
opportunity to exercise our right to free speech.
metalman.
It's a new world, Ben. Without Opinion250 I would find it difficult to keep up to date about PG. Thanks.
Too bad you couldn't have a low wattage radio
station Ben,broadcast say from the university or whatever...just like the old days, but on a smaller scale!
but jonnypg.......if it would have to be on the net too.......don't forget about all of us ....former PG folk!!! :-)
