Prince George, B.C. -   RCMP investigators have sent their file on the death of Amanda Jean Simpson to “E” Division Headquarters in Vancouver.

“This is a fresh eyes approach to the file” says Constable Gary Godwin.

Four year old Amanda Jean Simpson died in 1999 in Prince George.  A Coroner’s Jury found her death to be as the result of intentionally caused injuries.   During the inquest, one pathologist testified he had had only seen injuries that severe once before and that was in a case in which a car had driven over a child’s head.

Following the inquest earlier this year, police went over the testimony from the inquest, but did not come up with any new information.

Amanda Jean’s family had been brought to the attention of the Ministry of Children and Family Development 22 times.

Constable Godwin says sending a file such as this to a senior major crimes  investigator  is an opportunity for a fresh look at the information and  that could lead to new a new direction for investigation.

We KNOW what happened here.
The big question is what will be done about it and why has it not been already done??
Something very wrong with the system!
And again I ask...WHY 9 DAMN YEARS??
That is absolutely unacceptable even though it seems to be the norm with this kind of thing!
We need to start putting some political pressure on Victoria and Ottawa, but particularly on Gordon Campbell and his gang!
It is time he got rid of Wally Oppal and John Les.
They are both useless and nothing more than political lacky's for Campbell.
Actually, it has nothing to do with politicians.

Rory Polson is the guy you want to talk to. He's the guy that knows what happened. He's the guy with all the facts. That's who you want to write to. He's the one you want to put pressure on.

It is not the fault of the police nor the Crown that the killer of this child has not been brought to justice.

It is the killer's fault.
Thanks reasonableman, but I still think that something is missing in this one.
Surely the police and the Crown can go after this guy with both barrels?
The pressue has to come from the top down if they are ever to crack this guy.
How could that little girl be beaten so badly and yet appears nobody can prove anything?
She didn't get that way on her own.
Polson is also still with the little girls mother and they have had a couple more children!
Truly bizarre!
It is very hard to believe that he is still out walking around, and I do think people like Wally Opal and John Les can do more than they are doing?
