SUMMARY
It was a tough start for the month with cold and snow on the 2nd & 3rd resulting in 28 cm of the white stuff getting winter off to the rather abrupt start. This soon changed with a bout of rain between the 5th & 7th totaling near 20 mm, melting the early snow away in most areas. Conditions remained on the unsettled side through to mid month however temperatures held their own, milder than normal.
A winter regime pushed southwards into the region on the 19th and held its ground through the end of the month. Snow began to pile up in earnest during the last week of the month and temperatures sunk to the coldest values with overnight lows into the minus teens. In the end, the month still managed to come in with above normal temperatures aided by the mild first half.
Precipitation was abundant to say the least. The precipitation, measurable amounts at least, fell on 14 days just about normal. The amounts were anything but normal with rainfall and snowfall well above normal.
In the record books, November 2007 goes down as mild and wet.
