Oh so sad :(
So many lives change in a fraction of a second... so very, many lives are altered forever in half a blink.

Why ? ... there is no "why".

Sadtimes.

My condolences to the family.
I think a contributing cause to this accident is being a front wheel drive car. The highway being in very bad condition and most likely with ruts the car starts to slide and a persons first instinct is to let off the gas. When that happens the engine powers down causing a decelerating force to the road via the front wheels and know you are in a spin. A front wheel car may have more traction but a rear wheel drive vehicle will give the average driver more control.
Four-wheel-drive or All-wheel-drive may be a better choice although even then extreme caution is required, especially on roads that are very slippery and not sanded at all or not properly.

I have found that 4 wheel or all wheel drive still has the same problem as front wheel drive. 4 wheel drive can make you more stable over all but be in a turn, take your foot off the gas then see what happens.
Such a horrible tragedy. My heart breaks for that family. My sincere sympathy.
Sad news, no one is at fault here. Seems mother nature can change your fate in a second. Maybe we should all remember that!!
This is absolutly devastating. My dad was driving the semi involved as is completely devastated. So sad for all!
