CN Centre has launched Ticketmaster’s TicketExchange as the venue’s exclusive authorized ticket resale service.  TicketExchange offers CN Centre ticket-buyers a safe and secure site for the purchase of valid event tickets, adding an important layer of protection from potentially fraudulent ticket resellers.  TicketExchange debuted for CN Centre fans today, and the resale service is currently available for the sold-out January 9, 2008 “Big & Rich with Terri Clark & Emerson Drive” concert event, and will be available tomorrow for the February 4, 2008, “Three Days Grace with Seether and Econoline Crush” concert event.
Here’s how it works:
Holders of CN Centre event tickets purchased through Ticketmaster who are unable to use their tickets may visit the TicketExchange section of www.Ticketmaster.ca and post their tickets for sale to other fans.
Fans can visit TicketExchange to peruse and purchase tickets for events that might be sold out, to obtain what they deem to be a more favorable seat location, or to obtain a ticket located in the CN Centre that might not otherwise be available.
Ticket-buyers interested in using CN Centre’s Ticket Exchange service may do so in three easy steps:
  1. Visit Ticketmaster.ca and locate the event they wish to attend;
  2. Click the “TicketExchange” tab to review available tickets; then
  3. Simply purchase and print.
The TicketExchange transaction is entirely automated and processed by Ticketmaster, the recognized and trusted brand for event ticketing.  Ticket-buyers purchasing tickets through TicketExchange receive a brand new ticket with a unique barcode identifying the purchaser as the new owner of that ticket.  Ticket-buyers who purchase tickets through Ticketmaster by phone, online or through TicketExchange may select to have their tickets delivered electronically via TicketFast®, Ticketmaster’s online ticket delivery service.
CN Centre ticket-buyers continue to have the option of purchasing tickets through www.Ticketmaster.ca, Ticketmaster Charge-by-phone at (250) 614-9100, Ticketmaster retail outlets or the venue Box Office.  And now ticket-buyers also have the option of purchasing tickets through CN Centre’s TicketExchange.   Ticketmaster, the world’s leading ticketing company, will continue to provide sales and marketing distribution services for CN Centre’s full roster of entertainment and sporting events.
Ticketmaster has served us and our events very well.  When we made the decision to offer our patrons a resale site, we reviewed different resale options and found TicketExchange best meets our needs and the needs of our patrons,” said Glen Mikkelsen, Event and Marketing Coordinator, CN Centre.
“We want to ensure that our guests have the best possible event experience and this includes providing them with an authorized site to buy and resell tickets and avoid potentially fraudulent resellers.  We know that with Ticketmaster we are receiving the very best ticketing technology and a committed team of professionals to help us grow our ticketing business and better serve our customers.”
“CN Centre is fully committed to its patrons, and understands that fans need and deserve a safe secure site to resell and purchase tickets,” said Diane Herrick, Assistant General Manager, Ticketmaster Canada – BC Interior Region.  “We will continue to work closely with the venue to introduce TicketExchange and other new services to make it as easy and convenient as possible for fans to attend CN Centre events.”
