Did you mean "You're Busted" as the headline?

English, people. Learn it, live it.
And "Don't Drink in Drive". Did you mean "Don't Drink AND Drive"? Otherwise it would absolutely acceptable to drink in reverse or neutral, or even if you just shifted down to 2 or low - not to mention perfectly acceptable to drink while driving a manual transmission.
HEY PARR0T...WE ARE ALL HUMAN. SOMETIMES WE MAKE MISTAKES..GO AND TAKE YOUR MEDICATION AND HAVE A QUIET DAY.
Way to go giter he sounds like he may have had a little too much meds...
You guys have no sense of humour this morning. My point is that a journalist should know better.
Lets see if we got this right. 7 people off road for booze and drugs. 24 hour suspension. No fines.

Now the violation tickets were for what? Did those with violation tickets have to pay fines?? Why no 24 hours to clear up the violation?
Taser alert!
Why weren't there 7 impaired charges handed out last night?Last time I checked drugs were illegal as well. What a joke
It’s interesting that the opinions that usually state “no consequences” “not enough jail time” “need public hangings” “The only recourse is punishment” etc… to people breaking the law when it relates to drug use and crime have not been bellowed in this posting. What’s the difference?
Redneck there were 7 24 hour suspensions not impaired charges

You are correct in your English Parrothead.
We at 250 took the quote exactly as it was submitted by the police information sheet.
We have corrected it; now let’s hope the police don't say you have it all wrong this is the way we like it expressed.
The difference is that the 7 24 hour suspensions were handed out to people who were obviously impaired or they wouldn't have accepted the 24 hour suspension. Now I wonder if these people learned anything or if they are just going to do it again. As long as there is a chance people can get away with drinking and driving they will continue to drink and drive. If they knew there going to get the big fine and suspension for a year they might think twice about doing it.Now I guess the campaign advertising that happens every year at this time wasn't heard by these 7 people.
No fines for 24 hr suspensions, yet I made an illegal left turn from Upland st onrthbound onto 20th ave westbound (like most local residents do about once a day each) and these police gae me a ticket for this small offence (and points with it). Don't know where their priorties are sometiomes.
Then DPJ, I suppose you should revert to impaired driving.....bad joke sorry
At least you admitted you didn't turn the right way...
One day I too may get that ticket, and it will be my fault.....
Don't get caught with some snow covering your lisence plate. There is a fine for that though. Seems more like a year end revenue producer to me. Chester
Don't drink and drive. You might hook or slice. Fore!!
Ah, thanks Ben. The police, obviously, have no education - just weapons. I used to live in Atlanta, and I'm getting a deja-vu.....
The most likely reason that those getting 24 hour suspensions don't get charged is that they had a blood alcohol over 0.05 but less than 0.08, and it is not an offense until you read 0.08 or more.

Personally, I think that if you are drunk enough not to be able to drive safely with a blood alcohol level of 0.05, then that should be the maximum level allowed, and those reading at that should be charged.
It's a matter of screening those who are drunk from those who have had just a few drinks. If you tell a cop you have only had "one or two" drinks, you are going to try the roadside screening device, and likely get a 24 hr prohibition too.

By the way, a more interesting headline would have been, "You're Busty ".
Tazer those drinkers and maybe they might catch fire.
Have the "odd" drink? 1 3 5 7 9 ?
IMO,there should be no 24 hour suspensions.
If your over the limit 0.08, your over the limit, period.
Busted.
If you are not over, then you are not doing anything illegal.
They use the 24 hour suspension because they don't want to do all the paperwork that comes from an impared charge.
