Crash Near Houston Kills One

RCMP say a crash near Houston,  in the area known as Hungry Hill,  (shown in photo at left) has claimed the life of a Telkwa man.

The 40 year old was driving a Pontiac Sunfire  westbound on  Highway 16  yesterday afternoon, when a  Ford pick up, travelling east bound, crossed into his lane.

The Sunfire driver was  pronounced dead at the scene, a passenger in the car  a 45 year old male , also from Telkwa was  transported to Bulkley Valley Hospital  with serious, but non life threatening injuries.  The driver of the pick up truck was also taken to hospital, the extent of his injuries is also not known.

Police say that at the request of the family, the name of the deceased  will not be released.
