Prince George, B.C. - The City of Prince George has presented two versions of diking for River Road. One slips in behind businesses at the west end of River Road, the other, goes along the road itself.
The third map shows how the dikes will be set up along Pulp Mill Road, in the low lying area between the Cameron Street Bridge.
City Utility Manager Marko Fornari says the placing of the dikes on River Road will be a challenge as some of the businesses are so close to the edge of the river, ( Winton Global is one)
Buildings like Winton Global, the fish hatchery and homes on the north side of the road, will not be protected by the diking.
