School District 57 Superintendent D ick Chambers has outlined the District's plans for the teachers job action:
On this first day of action, the biggest difference students will see is a lack of supervision by teachers. Chambers says recess will go ahead as planned, with school staff filling in the supervisory role.
The second phase of the job action starts on the 11th of October when there will be two weeks of rotating strikes,. Chmabers says that means students in this District will be out of school one day during the first week, but two days during the second because there was already a non instructional day planned for that week
And then on the 24th, the teachers have planned a full withdrawal of services..
