Charities to Receive Funds Raised By Prince George Construction Association

Prince George, B.C. -  The Prince George Construction Association, undertook a major fundraising event to support the local Seniors' Community at its Annual General Meeting and Christmas Party held December 10.  The Association members donated $11,500. which will be distributed this afternoon. 

HEARTS  Senior's Dinner, PGCA Denture and Assistive Device Fund for Seniors, Christian Life Centre, St. Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army,  Food Hampers for Seniors, Goodie Trays for residents at Alward Place, Laurier Manor, Parkside and Rainbow Lodge Intermediate Care  Homes, Prince George Hospice House and Healthiest Babies Possible Program will all receive  some of the funds  raised  at the  December 10 event.

This is the ninth year the Construction Association has held a fundraiser at their Christmas Party and it has become a tradition. The first year $950.00 was raised for a Needy Family Campaign and this amount has increased each year. 

 “The commitment and dedication of our Members supporting our Annual Christmas Fundraiser is outstanding. It really demonstrates the positive impact the construction industry has on our community” says Rosalind Thorn, President of the Association. “Their generosity not only assists people at Christmas time but throughout the entire year.”
