$2 million announced for Chetwynd Multi Purpose

Chetwynd, British Columbia - The federal and provincial governments are investing $2 million to upgrade and expand the Chetwynd and District Multi-purpose Complex, resulting in a larger, more energy-efficient building. The Honorable Jay Hill, Secretary of State, Chief Government Whip and MP for Prince George-Peace River, and Blair Lekstrom, MLA for Peace River South and Parliamentary Secretary for Rural Development, announced the funding for the project from the Canada-B.C. Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund (CBCMRIF) Friday.

You're right...we should shut the whole town down. What's the point after all?? (sarcasm off)
Lets see - Canfor is shutting down. West Fraser is still there, full time. Oil and Gas is still there. Chetwynd should be fine, IMO.
Chetwynd has been doing well for a long time. It is still hard to get a hotel room due to all the crews. Parrot is right, they are going to be fine I think. Also, have you seen that center? sheesh! given their pop. it is darn nice.
