Northern Medical Program Welcomes Students From Region

Prince George, B.C. – The Northern Medical Program will welcome new students this week, and it will not only be the largest contingent, but the representation from the central interior and north of B.C. is very high.

This semester, there will be 32 students welcomed to the program at UNBC,  that’s  an increase of 8  due to the increase in seats for the program.

Here is the breakdown of home towns for some of the students

  • Williams Lake     2
  • Vanderhoof  2
  • Prince George  8  ( plus eight UNBC grads)
  • Fort St. John  1
  • Quesnel  1
  • Houston 1
  • Prince Rupert  2

The balance of students  come from the lower mainland and Alberta.

This spring, the first group of students will graduate from the program.
