Prince George BC-  Police doing a routine check in the city shortly before midnight Saturday at the 7-11 store on 20th Ave asked a 52 year old male driver for his ID. The driver attempted to provide a false name while at the same time failed a roadside alcohol test.

Police were able to learn his true identity which showed he had been convicted of impaired driving and driving over .08, four times during the past six years.

He now faces several charges including 6 counts of various prohibited driving related charges.

He goes to court in March.

I hope that sooner or later judges will make a statement with these people. He should be making licence plates for a long time
The sad part is some of these people will continue to drive even if they loose their licence.
What I think needs to happen is have the vehicle confiscated, sold, and proceeds put back into the system for enforcement.
Unfair some scream...
I loaned my car to a friend...they gotdrunk and drove....

My answer is...TOUGH....don't loan your vehicle out....to anyone...ever! I would far rather drive them than lose my vehicle....and if I don't want to drive them, there is always a cab or walk....

Maybe that idea is too easy?????
Sixth time lucky?
Lock him up before he kills someone!!!!!!!!
He goes to court in march..which gives him enough time to make more contraventions.
Waste of time.

I'm thinking this guy hasn't just been driving while drunk four times in the last six years, they only caught him four times in the last six years.

What's the rest of the story?

Has he done any harm?

Let's blast him just in case? Seems an odd way to run a country.
Yama has a good point!
This guy was only caught four times in six years, but I am willing to bet that driving drunk was a regular thing for this loser!
Now we wait to see what the courts actually DO with him?
Gee...why am I not too hopeful they will do much at all?
Actually if i read yama right he DOESNT have a point at all. As i read it Yama is suggesting this guy has been driving drunk a lot in the last few years and hasnt done any harm. Therefor he shouldnt be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Did i get that right? I hope not. The law is the law. This guy needs punishment, period. In my view he needs a lot of it. It is one thing to make a mistake and drive drunk once or even twice. To do so many times, despite being caught 4 times shows a total disregard for the law. There is nothing quite so dangerous to society than that. Nail him.
