Prince George, .B.C. - The 6th Annual Natural Resource forum is underway in Prince George.  "This forum has really started to develop  into what my initial goals were" says Pat  Bell, Minister of Agriculture, "That is getting  the major  resources in B.C. working together." Bell says  the  benefits can already be seen.

"We see for example where advanced silviculture practices in our forests can have an impact on the future value of agriculture, especially the cattle industry.  Mining activity in the Peace region is leaving a legacy of infrastructure."

Bell says its important to support all resource sectors, as  there are significant challenges facing forestry.

The TSE dropped 6% in the last three days because mining companies and resource companies are dropping like stones. IMO its wishfull thinking to think they are going to be investing a lot of money in the next few years. We are heading into a ressecion you know.
Not true. Its alwasy slow in the mining sector this time of year because they are waiting for analytical resutlts submitted from summer exploration. You will see a rise in stock pretty quick once alot of these companies release results. With gold hitting $900/ounce and projected to hit $1000/ounce this puts B.C in a very good position.Due to The large undeveloped deposits in bc and the global demand for metals these B.C's deposits are a very good asset.
