Prince George, B.C. -  Fresh snow helped Prince George RCMP officers track down the suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of a pizza delivery driver over the weekend.

Police say the 19-year-old Domino's employee had been approaching a house to make a delivery when he was surprised by an attacker early Saturday morning.  RCMP say the victim was hit on the head with a club, robbed of his cash and the pizza.

Officers arriving on-scene were able to follow footprints in the newly fallen snow to a house in the 900-block of Kerry Street.  When police entered, they found the culprit with the pizza, the cash and the club.  The 16-year-old suspect did not reside in the home.  During the course of their investigation, officers also discovered drugs in the residence and another 16-year-old male who lived there was also arrested.

Both teens are to appear in court at a later date on their respective charges.

The Domino's driver, meantime, drove himself to hospital where he received treatment for two cuts to his head and was released.

Good job ! Takes his buddy to jail with him too, now that's a friend.
Highly unlikely either will go to jail.
Go my sons, and sin no more!
...and that will be about it!
They should be sentenced to deliver pizza for free say a minimum term of one year, wearing only their underpants so as not to scare people. They can deliver pizzas to their school twice a week too, to make sure the shame does not go away. I can only wish that they would actually be ashamed, more likely they sneer at the law.
Hang 'em high!
metalman.
This is basically an armed robbery. In the US where they take a different view on armed robbery. The kid would be most likely do about 5 years. He could just as easily killed the pizza delivery fellow with the club. I would throw in attempted murder charge in there as well.

Just think how many people we could employ building prisons if we had a justice system. Oh but this is Canada. We don't punish people to that extent like they do in the US because prison doesn't do anything towards rehabilitation. Well maybe while he is in Prison he could learn a trade. Is prison a deterrent. Probably not but who gives a s__t. They are off the street and won't be robbing pizza guys for 5 years.
That is the real benefit. If the fellow wants to avail him or herself of programs provided in prison to change his lifestyle then great. If not well I would give him 3 chances. Get caught for 3 serious crimes such as armed robbery, home invasion, car theft, B & E's crimes with firearms you go away and you don't come back for a minimum of 30 years. No parole. No second chance. Just housed for 30 years.

At that point we are not concerned about rehabilitation any longer. We are concerned that you do not bother the rest of the human race any more. If you can not live like a civilized person amongst the rest of society then we will find a place for you to live where you won't cause any more trouble. Oh ya! Of course we will feed you.

Then I would start with basic training all over again. You want privileges in prison you earn them by working in the kitchens or somewhere else in the prison system. You want better food you earn it. You want TV you earn it. You can work your way back up the ladder to have a few perks while you are doing your time. After all if I want something I have to go and work for it to purchase it. I don't grab a weapon and go rob somebody. That wouldn't be nice.
Problem is the guy that was hit over the head with a club is just a pizza boy (man).

If it was a judge that got put in the hospital, it would be a big deal. The media would be as mad as hell and demanding justice.

Then it would blow over and the "good" people would learn not to go out at night and leave that risky stuff to people that don't matter, like the pizza boy that deliveries to the judges house.

Gee? I wonder if I'm allowed to say things like this about the judges? I might get more time in jail than the clobber boy. It isn't the legal systems fault, right?

Maybe the teens can blame the pizza guy for entrapment. Money, pizza, hey what a combo. Pizza guy and the cops just setting these teens up. Could happen. Get me a lawyer.
I am not sure if you are allowed to say that or not Yama, but I sure as hell agree with you!!!
I remember this loser guy in highschool who delivered pizza for Domino's. One day he hatched this plan in social studies where he wanted me and some buddies to order a pizza and request him to deliver it, at which time he wanted us to hit him over the head so he would have a lump on his head and then take the pizza and split the money with him the next day at school. I thought he was joking at first, but it turns out he was serious lol. I had to laugh at the guys supidity especially the part where he wanted us to request him for the delivery rotflmao. Some people really are that stupid... and no I didn't take part in such a stupid idea, but I wouldn't be surprised if that kind of thing happens from time to time.
Assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and robbery ? He will likely do jail time. His friend with the drugs, probably not.
I agree with Quaddi, the yankee system sounds better than what we suffer here.
Three strikes and you are out of the way of people who want to live a decent, normal life. And YDPC, let us celebrate that you are actually permitted to 'say that' There may be a lot of problems with our so called justice system, and believe me, I have a lot to say about that, but we are still a free society, the existence of this forum is proof of that. And you are right when you say if it was a judge who got bonked that a veritable brouhaha would result. The judges and others who are "a class above" the rest of us do protect their own.
metalman.
if its his first charges he wont be seeing jail time.a condition sentence is what he will get
