B.C. Government to Release BioEnergy Plan

Prince George, B.C. - Premier Gordon Campbell will arrive in Prince George later today to discuss his government’s BioEnergy Strategy.
The plan is scheduled to be released on-line from Victoria at 2pm this afternoon. Area MLA and Agriculture Minister Pat Bell, Forests Minister Rich Coleman and Mines Minister Richard Neufeld will join the premier for a news conference to discuss the green plan in Prince George early this evening.
The Premier begins the day in Vancouver at an elementary school to launch an initiative for kindergarten-aged children. He then flies to Skidegate for a feast celebrating the successful conclusion of negotiations on a Land Use Plan for the Haida Gwaii.
And arrives in Prince George late this afternoon. In addition to the news conference, Campbell will pay tribute to the winners of the Premier’s Innovation and Excellence North Regional Awards, set to be handed out tonight at the Coast Inn of the North ballroom.
