L and M Lumber In Vanderhoof Reduces Operations

 Vanderhoof - L & M lumber of Vanderhoof is the latest company to announce cut backs at their mill in Vanderhoof.

The company  yesterday told its employees that they will go to a 4 day work week beginning February 14th. A spokesman for the mill says inventories are simply too high and the company is trying to put some checks in place. The move will reduce the hours of 70 employees.

Nechako Lumber of Vanderhoof ,  the other operating partner instituted cut backs at their operations three  weeks ago, also going to a four day work week. 80 employees were affected.

Yes that is for sure aleast they are working, you sure can tell the smaller mills from the Big Corporations, the smaller mills actually care about there employees.
