Prince George, BC. - The Board of Governors for CNC will meet today and the budget shortfall will be the topic of discussion.
Earlier this month, College of New Caledonia President John Bowman informed employees the College would be facing a $1.1 million dollar deficit unless some changes were made.
Those changes include, higher tuition, program and staff cuts.
The College was predicting revenue of $41.1 million and expenditures of $42.2 million.
Bowman says the shortfall is a result of a combination of things, including employee benefits, sick leave and maternity leave costs, changes to program duration, equipment maintenance costs and energy costs.
