Crime Free Multi-Housing Program Comes to P.G.

Prince George, BC– The Crime Free multi-housing program has come to Prince George.
The Prince George Community Policing office is behind the initiative which is designed specifically to help apartment owners, managers, residents, police and other agencies work together to keep illegal and nuisance activity off rental property.
Its unique three phases ensure that crime prevention is successfully attained. It is resident friendly yet effective in reducing crime in multi-unit apartment communities. Corporal Claudette Garcia from the Prince George RCMP says that “Crime Free Multi-Housing will help to reduce the number of criminal related incidents at apartment communities, and improve cooperation and relationships between the police and residents.” The first phase of the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program is geared towards educating owners and managers of rental communities. The day-long workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13th. Prince George Community Policing is currently contacting owners and managers to provide them with information about the program and the workshop.
